Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms are a contract between you and Santi Open Learning ("Santi", "we"). By creating an account or using Santi Tutor you agree to them. If you are using Santi through a school or tutoring centre, that institution's agreement with us also applies.

Your account

• Learners must be at least 13, including learners using a parent account. A parent or guardian is responsible for use by a minor under their supervision.
• You must verify your email address to finish setting up an account.
• Keep your sign-in details private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.
• Give us accurate information and keep it up to date.

Plans, credits and trials

Free accounts receive a starting credit allowance. Paid monthly plans include a monthly tutoring allowance measured in learning credits. Usage is metered from the tutor model, audio and visuals used. The subscription allowance resets each billing period and does not roll over; separately purchased non-expiring credits do not expire while your account is active. Current prices and allowances are shown before purchase. Replaying a saved lesson does not use credits.

New accounts may be offered a free trial. Payment details are required to start it, and the subscription is charged at the displayed monthly price when the trial ends unless you cancel before then.

If we change plan prices or what a plan includes, we will give existing subscribers at least 30 days' notice. You can cancel before the change takes effect.

Billing and renewal

Payments are processed by Apple App Store, Google Play or Lemon Squeezy, depending on where you subscribe. The purchase screen shows the applicable price and currency. Subscriptions renew automatically each month until cancelled. Manage App Store and Google Play subscriptions in that store's subscription settings; website subscriptions use the website billing portal. If payment fails, paid access may be paused until resolved.

Cancellation and refunds

You can cancel through the store or billing provider where you subscribed. You keep access until the end of the paid period unless a refund or store decision changes your entitlement. App Store and Google Play refunds are handled under their respective policies. Statutory consumer rights apply. Deleting your SantiTutor account does not automatically cancel a store subscription; cancel it separately to prevent renewal.

If something has gone wrong with a charge, write to hello@santitutor.com within 14 days and we will look at it.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Santi to cheat in assessed work where that is prohibited by your school or exam board.
• Do not upload content you do not have the right to use, or material that is unlawful, abusive or harmful.
• Do not attempt to access other people's accounts or lessons, probe or overload the service, or reverse-engineer it.
• Do not resell access to the service or share one account between several learners.

Your content

You own the questions, images, recordings and materials you provide. You give us a licence to store and process them so we can deliver the service, including sending them to the AI providers that generate your lessons. Lessons generated for you are yours to use for your own learning. If you create a public replay link, you are choosing to make that lesson visible to anyone with the link.

Our content

The Santi Tutor software, brand, design and site content belong to Santi and its licensors. You may not copy or redistribute them except as these terms allow.

Accuracy and limits of the service

The tutor is an AI. It aims to be accurate but it can be wrong, incomplete or out of date, and it may not match the exact conventions of your exam board. Check anything that matters against your syllabus or teacher. The service is a study aid, not a substitute for a qualified teacher or for professional advice.

Availability

We work to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Lessons depend on third-party AI and hosting providers and on your own connection. If a lesson is interrupted, you can usually resume it from where it stopped.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, after warning you where that is reasonable. You can close your account at any time by contacting us. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as ownership, disclaimers and liability, continue after termination.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided as is. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude implied warranties and our total liability arising out of or relating to the service is limited to the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including lost grades or lost opportunities. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For material changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after that date means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the courts of Nigeria have jurisdiction, except where the consumer law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings locally.
