Who we are
Sometimes, it is simply the way a student is being taught.
One of our co-founders struggled with mathematics for years. Not because he wasn’t intelligent, but because he hadn’t been taught in a way that made sense to him. Math felt like numbers on a board, formulas to memorize, and lessons that moved too quickly. Then he met a teacher who explained things differently. She drew diagrams, asked questions, connected ideas to real life, and helped him understand why things worked, not just how to solve them. Within weeks, everything changed. Math didn’t become easier because he suddenly became smarter. It became easier because someone finally explained it in a way he could understand.
That experience revealed something we deeply believe: the problem is not always the student. Sometimes, it is simply the way they are being taught. Millions of capable students struggle because learning often moves faster than understanding. They memorize what they don’t understand, lose confidence in subjects they could master, and begin to believe they are simply not good enough. We believe every student deserves someone who can explain things in a way that makes sense to them, answer their questions without judgment, and stay with them until it finally clicks.
